of <h1>Central Excise Update: Duty Rates Adjusted; New Rules for Circuit Boards and Aircraft Parts.</h1> The notification amends Notification No. 12/2012-Central Excise, adjusting the effective duty rates and exemptions on various items. The duty rate for certain serial numbers is reduced from 9.5% to 9.35%. Populated printed circuit boards are specifically excluded from certain exemptions. New entries for populated printed circuit boards used in specific electronic devices are introduced with a 4% duty rate, while parts for their manufacture are exempt. The notification also updates entries related to parts and tools for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhauling, subject to conditions specified in a related customs notification.
