of <h1>Amendment Sets March 16, 2016, as Effective Date for Concessional Duty Rules; Security Submission Requirement Removed.</h1> Notification No. 22/2016 amends Notification No. 20/2016-Central Excise (N.T.) to establish March 16, 2016, as the effective date for the Central Excise (Removal of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty for Manufacture of Excisable and Other Goods) Rules, 2016. It eliminates the requirement for submitting security to avail benefits under these rules. Additionally, references to the 2001 rules in any official documents are to be interpreted as references to the 2016 rules. This amendment is issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Government of India.
