<h1>India Revises Tariff Values for Oils, Metals, and Nuts Under Customs Act via Notification No. 34/2016-CUSTOMS (N.T.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance and the Central Board of Excise and Customs, issued Notification No. 34/2016-CUSTOMS (N.T.) on February 29, 2016. This notification amends the earlier notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) by revising the tariff values for specific goods. The new tariff values are set for various commodities including crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, crude palmolein, RBD palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, poppy seeds, gold, silver, and areca nuts. These changes are made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, to ensure appropriate tariff values are applied.
