of <h1>India Amends Rules on Tobacco Packing Machines, Adjusts Production Capacity Calculations for 2015 under Rules 5 and 6</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 13/2015 to amend the Chewing Tobacco and Unmanufactured Tobacco Packing Machines (Capacity Determination and Collection of Duty) Rules, 2010. The amendments specify changes to Rule 5, detailing the deemed production capacity based on retail sale prices and packing machine speeds, outlined in revised Table-2. Additionally, Rule 6 is amended to include a provision for calculating the annual production capacity for April 30, 2015, on a pro-rata basis. These amendments are effective from their publication date in the Official Gazette.
