of <h1>India Amends Customs Tariff: New 10% Duty on Goods Under Codes 2601 11 41 & 2601 11 42 Effective April 2015</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 30/2015-Customs to amend a previous notification (No. 27/2011-Customs) dated March 1, 2011. This amendment, effective April 30, 2015, introduces a new entry in the customs tariff table, specifically after serial number 20. The new entry, numbered 20A, covers goods under tariff codes 2601 11 41 and 2601 11 42, imposing a 10% customs duty. This change is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, in the interest of public welfare.
