of <h1>India Cuts Employees' Provident Fund Administrative Charges from 1.10% to 0.85% Effective February 2015</h1> The Ministry of Labour and Employment in India has announced a reduction in the administrative charges for the Employees' Provident Fund from 1.10% to 0.85% of the pay. This change is effective from February 2, 2015, and applies to all establishments, with a minimum charge of seventy-five rupees per month for non-functional establishments and five hundred rupees per month for other establishments. The previous rates will continue to apply for periods up to December 31, 2014. This decision was made after consulting the Central Board and considering the available resources for administrative expenses.
