<h1>India Appoints Common Adjudicating Authority for Customs Case Under Customs Act, 1962; Kandla and Mundra Involved.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued a notification appointing the Joint/Additional Commissioner of Customs at Custom House, Kandla as the Common Adjudicating Authority. This appointment is made under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, to handle adjudication matters related to a show cause notice issued to a company and others. This notice was originally issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Hyderabad, concerning a case from October 2014. The appointed authority will also exercise powers over the Joint/Additional Commissioner of Customs at Custom House, Mundra.
