      Supersession Notification No.68/2021-Customs(N.T.), dated 19th August, 2021
      Summary: Determines rate of exchange for conversion between specified foreign currencies and Indian rupees for customs assessment of imported and exported goods, effective from 3rd September, 2021. The notification supersedes the earlier notification of 19th August, 2021 and fixes separate notified rupee equivalents for imported and exported goods in Schedule I and per-100-unit rates in Schedule II for the listed currencies.

      Incorporation of Explanation in Notification No.36/2015-2020 dated 18th December, 2019
      Summary: The explanation clarifies that "Gold in any form" includes gold above 22 carats under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule I (Import Policy), and that such imports may be made only by nominated agencies as notified by the respective regulators for banks and for others.

      Seeks to provide the concessional rate of TGST on Covid-19 relief supplies, up to and inclusive of 30th September 2021
      Summary: The State Government, under section 11(1) of the Tripura SGST Act, prescribes concessional TGST treatment by exempting or limiting state tax on specified COVID 19 relief goods and medical equipment to the rates set out in the notification Table, mapped to tariff headings. The concession applies only to listed goods to the extent the state tax exceeds the specified rate and is time bound, remaining in force up to and inclusive of 30th September 2021.

      Amendment in Notification No. 11/2017-State Tax (Rate). dated the 29th June 2017
      Summary: Amendment inserts a proviso that, for a specified interim period, the central tax on the service described in clause (f) at serial number 3, column (3), item (iv) shall be levied at a reduced rate irrespective of the rate specified in column (4) of the Table, effected under the Tripura State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.

      Seeks to exclude government departments and local authorities from the requirement of issuance of e-invoice
      Summary: Notification under sub rule (4) to rule 48 requires registered persons whose aggregate turnover exceeds the statutory threshold to prepare invoices and prescribed documents for supplies to registered persons, while excluding government departments, local authorities and persons referred to in the specified sub rules of rule 54; it supersedes the earlier 26 March 2021 notification but saves prior actions.

      Seeks to rationalize late fee for delay in filing of return in FORM GSTR-7
      Summary: Notification waives the portion of the late fee payable under the State GST Act by registered persons required to deduct tax at source for failure to furnish the return in FORM GSTR-7 by the due date, removing the fee amount that exceeds a small per-day charge and capping the total waiverable late fee for the relevant return periods.

      Amendment in Notification No. 06/2019- Slate Tax (Rate), dated the 30th March- 2019
      Summary: The amendment replaces the identification of the taxable person to read ", who shall" and prescribes that tax liability must be recognised in a tax period not later than the tax period in which the issuance of the completion certificate for the project, where required, by the competent authority, or the date of its first occupation, whichever is earlier, falls; the amendment is effective from 2nd June, 2021.

      Summary: The notification amends the State GST rate schedule to allow a landowner-promoter to utilise input tax credit charged by a developer-promoter for payment of tax on apartments supplied by the landowner-promoter in the same project, and inserts a new taxable-service entry for maintenance, repair or overhaul services of ships, vessels, engines and components, with consequential editorial substitutions; the amendments take effect from the 2nd day of June, 2021.

      Summary: A new rule 26D requires specified senior citizens to furnish a paper declaration in Form No.12BBA; specified banks must, after applying Chapter VI-A deductions and section 87A rebate based on evidence furnished by the senior citizen, compute total income for the assessment year and deduct tax under section 194P at rates in force, maintain the declaration and evidence, and furnish particulars and evidence to authorized Principal Director General/Director General (Systems) or Commissioners on demand.
