Summary: The e-way bill establishes a unified, digital regime for movement-related documentation under the Goods and Services Tax, linking declared supplies with transportation records and centralizing data to reduce procedural multiplicity and revenue leakage. Subject: Importation of Insecticides/Pesticides on the basis of NOC’s issued by CIB&RC long back under the Insecticide Act, 1968 - reg.
Summary: Imports of insecticides/pesticides based on legacy open ended NOCs, NOCs lacking source details, or NOCs naming unregistered/withdrawn/banned products are not permitted. Exceptions apply only to consignments in transit or with a bill of lading issued on or before the CIB&RC public notice. Importers must obtain and present a fresh Registration/Import Permit under the Insecticides Act that specifies a date of validity and the source of import before clearance; noncompliance may result in action under customs enforcement provisions.
