<h1>Extra 1% interest subsidy on Kisan Credit Card crop loans up to ?3 lakh, lowering rates for timely repayment</h1> Bihar has agreed with NABARD to grant an additional 1% interest subvention under a state scheme on crop production loans availed by farmers under the Kisan Credit Card scheme for FY 2025-26, over and above the 3% interest subvention already available from the Union government. The additional subvention applies to eligible crop loans up to Rs 3 lakh taken from commercial banks, regional rural banks, and cooperative banks, and is conditional on repayment within the stipulated period, thereby reducing the effective interest burden for timely repaying borrowers. The state has earmarked Rs 5 crore for funding this additional subvention for FY 2025-26.
