      PM Modi turns 75: Highlights of initiatives launched by BJP, events held in several states

      New Delhi, Sep 17 (PTI) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 on Wednesday, BJP-ruled states and the party organisation in different places started or have lined up an array of outreach, welfare and awareness programmes like health camps, cleanliness drives and fairs to promote indigenous products.

      Several Union ministers and BJP leaders took part in various events, including blood donation camps and plantation drives.

      Following are the highlights of initiatives launched by the BJP-ruled states and events held across the country to mark the day: * Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district.

      * PM Modi also launched the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar' and the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah' campaigns, aimed at improving women's health and promoting nutrition.

      * Union Health Minister J P Nadda inaugurated the "Namo Van" in Sector 2 of Haryana’s Rohtak city by planting a sapling.

      * Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated 17 public-welfare schemes, including five new hospital blocks, 101 Ayushman Arogya Mandir clinics, of the Delhi government.

      * Shah unveiled the Atal Asha nursing home and hostel in Narela and a financial assistance scheme for caregivers of persons with high support needs.

      * A hostel for college-going visually impaired girls, the Savitri Bai Phule shelter home for senior citizens, and 24 quick response vehicles for firefighting in congested areas were also inaugurated by Shah.

      * Union Home Minister Shah inaugurated 10 new resource centres of the Delhi government that will ensure access to various specialised therapies for around 12,500 children with disabilities.

      * Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that all workers engaged at Delhi's three landfill sites will receive a special incentive of Rs 5,000 each ahead of Diwali.

      * Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra inaugurated a special exhibition at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on PM Modi's life and leadership.

      * A special screening of the short film 'Chalo Jeeten Hai', based on Modi's childhood, was also organised by the Delhi Assembly.

      * Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her cabinet colleagues donated blood at a camp organised on the Kartavya Path as part of the 'Sewa Pakhwada' by the BJP-led city government.

      * CM Rekha Gupta flagged off the NAMo Sugamya Rath and Sugamya Delhi Yatra from Kartavya Path.

      * The Delhi government will set up 7,500 camps in the city as part of the 'Swasth Nari, Sashakt Pariwar' campaign launched by PM Modi from Madhya Pradesh's Dhar to enhance women's health services.

      * PM Modi's app -- NaMo -- has launched a 15-day digital volunteering initiative under "Seva Parv", inviting citizens and party workers to join hands in acts of service, tracking Modi's life journey, and sharing wishes in creative ways. The engagement runs till October 2.

      * Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched 'Swachhotsav-2025' with special prayers held at chardham including Badrinath and Kedarnath and other temples.

      * Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated 'Namo Exhibition' at Jaipur’s Jawahar Kala Kendra showcasing milestones from the PM’s life, including Operation Sindoor and the Ram temple’s construction.

      * Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the NaMo Health Check-up and Nutrition Camp and kicked off the Healthy Women, Empowered Family Campaign in Thekra area of Kota.

      * Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced a scheme under which Rs 1 crore will be distributed to municipal councils and town councils for developing 'Namo Parks'.

      * Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi led a drive to plant 75 tree saplings to mark the day.

      * The Odisha government planted more than 1 crore saplings as a mark of the state's gratitude towards PM Modi.

      * Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav participated in blood donation and tree plantation drives organised in Rajasthan’s Alwar to mark the day.

      * To mark the day, the Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, an NGO, organised a blood donation drive aiming to collect 3 lakh units of blood in a day, thereby setting a new world record.

      * Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu launched the state-level rollout of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign, the 'Angikaar-2025' initiative, PM SVANidhi Yojana 2.0, and the welfare fair.

      * In Chhattisgarh, Beneficiaries under PMAY (Urban) 2.0 were handed construction permits for their sanctioned houses, while cheques were distributed to beneficiaries of PM SVANidhi * Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state government will organise 14,690 health camps across the state over the next fortnight to boost women's health.
