        <h1>Justice delivery ranking prompts call for urgent reforms and designation of justice as an essential service.</h1> Andhra Pradesh placed second overall in the India Justice Report 2025 based on police, judiciary, prisons and legal aid indicators. The state showed strong police performance, high per inmate expenditure, no extreme prison overcrowding, substantial state funding and high utilisation of legal aid budgets, but continued vacancies among police and judges and representation shortfalls for SC/ST groups. The report calls for urgent reforms, priority vacancy filling and for justice delivery to be designated an essential service.
