<h1>GST System introduces email SMS alerts and portal dashboard for taxpayer control over ASP GSP data access</h1> The GST System is implementing security enhancements to strengthen data security and improve transparency for taxpayers using Application Suvidha Providers (ASP) and GST Suvidha Providers (GSP). Two key features will be introduced: first, an email and SMS notification service that alerts taxpayers whenever an ASP successfully obtains their OTP consent to access data through APIs, including details of the ASP/GSP name, consent date/time, and validity period. Second, the GST Common Portal will be enhanced to allow taxpayers to view current and historic access granted to ASP/GSP and provide an option to revoke active consents through their portal dashboard. These improvements aim to give taxpayers greater control and transparency over third-party access to their GST data. Implementation dates will be announced through separate advisories.
