<h1>87 Companies Still Classified as Vanishing After Raising Rs. 341.90 Crore; FIRs Filed Against Directors for Fraud.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs in India identified 238 companies as vanishing, but 151 were removed from the list after compliance improvements. Currently, 87 companies remain classified as vanishing, having raised Rs. 341.90 crore through public issues. FIRs have been filed against these companies and their directors for violations under the Indian Penal Code and the Companies Act, 1956, including non-filing of statutory returns and fraudulent activities. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has barred these directors from public fundraising. Details of these companies have been publicized to encourage investor complaints.
