<h1>Punjab's Tax Revenue Surpasses Rs 30,000 Crore in Nine Months, Driven by GST and Excise Increases.</h1> Punjab's revenue collection from VAT, CST, GST, PSDT, and excise taxes surpassed Rs 30,000 crore for the first time in the first nine months of the fiscal year. The total revenue reached Rs 31,156.31 crore, up from Rs 27,927.31 crore in the previous fiscal year. The state saw a 28.36% increase in net GST revenue and a 21.31% rise in excise revenue in December 2024 compared to December 2023. The Finance Minister highlighted the effectiveness of economic policies and the excise and taxation department's measures in boosting revenue streams.
