CBIC Updates Courier Regulations: Extends Export Benefits, Requires ICEGATE Filing for Duty Drawback, RoDTEP, RoSCTL.
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has amended the Courier Imports and Exports Regulations to extend export-related benefits for courier mode exports. These amendments include provisions for Duty Drawback, RoDTEP, and RoSCTL, and require Courier Export Manifest filing, except under these schemes. Due to limitations in the Express Cargo Clearance System, the Indian Customs EDI System (ICES) will now process these payments at International Courier Terminals. Authorised Couriers must file Shipping Bills via ICEGATE, and custodians must register on ICEGATE for export goods handling. Further details will be provided in an upcoming advisory.
