<h1>Customs Act 1962: Tariff Values Updated for Oils, Metals, and More; Effective July 15, 2023.</h1> The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has amended the tariff values for various goods under the Customs Act, 1962. Effective from July 15, 2023, the revised tariff values include crude palm oil at $902 per metric tonne, RBD palm oil at $914, and crude soybean oil at $1008. Brass scrap is valued at $4761 per metric tonne. Gold and silver are priced at $630 per 10 grams and $792 per kilogram, respectively. The tariff for areca nuts remains unchanged at $10379 per metric tonne. These changes are part of the ongoing adjustments in the customs tariff framework.
