Import reliance reduction through domestic capacity building and incentives, combined with export support measures to narrow trade deficit. The Government has adopted a dual approach: reduce import reliance by building domestic capacity through Production Linked Incentive schemes, phased manufacturing plans, mandatory technical standards, trade remedies, Rules of Origin enforcement, and import monitoring; and boost exports via extended trade policy and export credit support, export incentive schemes (rebates and remission programmes), a digital Certificate of Origin platform to increase FTA use, champion services sectors, district export hubs, enhanced diplomatic trade promotion, and pandemic relief for industry and MSMEs.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
