<h1>India's GST Revenue in August 2022 Hits Rs. 1.43 Lakh Crore, Up 28% from Last Year.</h1> In August 2022, India collected a gross GST revenue of Rs. 1,43,612 crore, marking a 28% increase from August 2021. The revenue comprised Rs. 24,710 crore from CGST, Rs. 30,951 crore from SGST, Rs. 77,782 crore from IGST, and Rs. 10,168 crore from cess. The government settled Rs. 29,524 crore to CGST and Rs. 25,119 crore to SGST from IGST, resulting in total revenues of Rs. 54,234 crore for the Centre and Rs. 56,070 crore for the states. The consistent rise in GST revenue, surpassing Rs. 1.4 lakh crore for six consecutive months, is attributed to better compliance and economic recovery. State-wise, significant growth was observed in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and West Bengal.
