of <h1>GST Revenue in January 2022 Hits Rs. 1.38 Lakh Crore, Up 15% from Last Year, Boosted by Economic Recovery.</h1> The gross GST revenue collected in January 2022 was Rs. 1,38,394 crore, marking the fourth time it crossed Rs. 1.30 lakh crore. This figure is 15% higher than January 2021 and 25% higher than January 2020. The collection includes Rs. 24,674 crore from CGST, Rs. 32,016 crore from SGST, Rs. 72,030 crore from IGST, and Rs. 9,674 crore from cess. The government settled Rs. 29,726 crore to CGST and Rs. 24,180 crore to SGST from IGST, with an additional ad-hoc settlement of Rs. 35,000 crore. The Centre also released Rs. 18,000 crore in GST compensation to states/UTs. Economic recovery and anti-evasion measures contributed to the revenue increase.
