New initiatives for Jammu Kashmir were announced, including the Tejasvini scheme for young women entrepreneurs, the Shikhar scheme for the hotel and tourism industry, and the Shikara scheme for Shikara purchase and repair. The Finance Minister inaugurated new bank branches and laid the foundation for Rural Self-employment Training Institutes. NABARD increased its commitment to rural infrastructure development, and banks will raise ground-level credit to Rs. 16,000 crore for economic growth. The Minister engaged with beneficiaries to discuss the impact of bank credit on their businesses.
