<h1>GST Revenue for May 2021 Reaches Rs. 1.02 Lakh Crore; 65% Higher Than Last Year Amid COVID-19 Relief Measures.</h1> The GST revenue collection for May 2021 amounted to Rs. 1,02,709 crore, with CGST at Rs. 17,592 crore, SGST at Rs. 22,653 crore, IGST at Rs. 53,199 crore, and Cess at Rs. 9,265 crore. This collection includes domestic transactions up to June 4, due to relief measures allowing delayed return filing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The government settled Rs. 15,014 crore to CGST and Rs. 11,653 crore to SGST from IGST. Revenue for May 2021 is 65% higher than the previous year, marking the eighth consecutive month of GST collections exceeding Rs. 1 lakh crore, despite lockdowns. Revenue from smaller taxpayers is expected to increase after extended filing deadlines.
