<h1>Services sector recovery signals rebound in activity, boosted by stronger FDI, regulatory reforms and improved trade efficiency.</h1> Key service-sector indicators show a pronounced V-shaped recovery after lockdown-induced contraction, with rebound in Services PMI, passenger and freight traffic, port traffic, foreign tourist arrivals and foreign exchange. FDI into services grew strongly led by computer software and hardware, while services represent a large share of national GVA, FDI and exports. The Survey highlights regulatory and policy reforms supporting IT BPM, e commerce consumer protection, expanded e visa access boosting tourism, improved port turnaround times, and reforms to attract private investment in the space sector, alongside a resilient start-up ecosystem.
