<h1>Delhi CGST Officials Arrest Individual for Rs. 14.30 Crore Fake ITC Fraud Involving Fictitious Firms; Charged Under CGST Act 2017.</h1> Officials from the Central Goods and Service Tax (CGST) Commissionerate in Delhi have arrested an individual for fraudulently passing fake Input Tax Credit (ITC) worth Rs. 14.30 crore. The accused operated a syndicate using three fictitious firms under family members' identities to issue fake bills amounting to approximately Rs. 79.5 crore. Previously, other individuals involved in similar fraudulent activities had implicated the accused as a provider of fake invoices. The individual has been charged under sections of the CGST Act, 2017, which are cognizable and non-bailable offenses. He has been remanded in judicial custody for 14 days, with further investigations ongoing.
