<h1>Finance Ministry Disburses 11th Instalment of Rs. 6,000 Crore to States, UTs for GST Compensation Shortfall.</h1> The Ministry of Finance has released the 11th instalment of Rs. 6,000 crore to states and union territories (UTs) as a back-to-back loan to address the GST compensation shortfall. So far, Rs. 66,000 crore has been distributed, with Rs. 5,516.60 crore allocated to 23 states and Rs. 483.40 crore to 3 UTs with legislative assemblies. Five states have no GST revenue gap. This funding is part of a special borrowing window set up to cover an estimated shortfall of Rs. 1.10 lakh crore due to GST implementation, with borrowings done at an average interest rate of 4.7271%. Additional borrowing permissions have also been granted to states.
