<h1>Anti-competitive conduct: associations and pharmaceutical firms penalised and directed to implement compliance and awareness measures.</h1> The Commission found associations and certain pharmaceutical companies engaged in anti-competitive conduct by mandating NOCs/LOCs for stockist appointments, restricting market access and supply, and held that this contravened Section 3(3)(a) and 3(3)(b) read with Section 3(1). Following the DG investigation, penalties were imposed and directives issued requiring associations to run competition awareness programmes and companies to implement a Competition Compliance Programme and report compliance.
