<h1>Cabinet Approves Restructured Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan to Boost Panchayati Raj Governance for Sustainable Development Goals.</h1> The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the restructured Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) to enhance governance capabilities of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Implemented from April 2018 to March 2022, the scheme costs Rs. 7255.50 crore, with a 60:40 Centre-State funding pattern, except for North East and Hill States at 90:10. It covers all States and UTs, focusing on capacity building, e-governance, and social inclusion, particularly for vulnerable groups. The scheme aligns with Mission Antyodaya and NITI Aayog's Aspirational districts, aiming for poverty alleviation and improved service delivery.
