OECD Praises India for Tackling Tax Evasion, Enhances Cooperation on Transfer Pricing and Cross-Border Disputes.
The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has commended India for its efforts in addressing tax evasion and black money issues. During a seminar in New Delhi, India and the OECD agreed to enhance cooperation on tax matters, including transfer pricing and cross-border dispute regulation. The seminar, attended by officials from India and various countries, focused on the taxation challenges of multinational enterprises. India, actively involved in the OECD's fiscal affairs since 2006, will strengthen its collaboration through a three-year partnership, expanding technical cooperation and policy dialogue. This initiative aims to improve tax compliance and provide certainty for taxpayers and governments.
