<h1>India and ADB Ink $375M Deal for Visakhapatnam-Chennai Corridor, Supporting Make in India and Climate Resilience.</h1> India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $375 million loan and grant agreement to develop the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor, the first phase of the 2,500-kilometer East Coast Economic Corridor. This project aligns with India's Make in India and Act East policies, aiming to boost manufacturing and integrate with Asia's production networks. The agreement includes a $245 million loan for infrastructure in Visakhapatnam and Yerpedu-Srikalahasti, and a $125 million policy-based loan for institutional capacity development. Additionally, a $5 million grant from the Urban Climate Change Resilience Trust Fund will support climate-resilient infrastructure. India will contribute $215 million to the $846 million project.
