EPFO's 2017 Campaign: Employers Can Voluntarily Declare Excluded Employees, Waive Contributions, Minimal Damages, Section 7A Inquiry Exempt.
The Employees Enrolment Campaign 2017 by EPFO allows employers to voluntarily declare employee details previously excluded from social security benefits. Running from January 1 to March 31, 2017, the scheme waives the employee's share of contributions if not previously deducted, charges minimal damages, and exempts administrative fees. Employers can make online declarations unless an inquiry under Section 7A is pending. Aadhar is now mandatory for EPF members to enhance service efficiency. EPFO settled 19,114 grievances in January 2017 and is advancing towards a centralized receipt and payment system with multiple banking partnerships to improve financial reporting and monitoring.
