<h1>Finance Minister Launches Non-Tax Receipt Portal for Online Payments, Supporting Digital India and Streamlining Government Transactions.</h1> The Finance Minister inaugurated the Non-Tax Receipt Portal (NTRP), designed by the Controller General of Accounts, to facilitate online payments of non-tax receipts to the Indian government. This platform aims to streamline the collection process, traditionally reliant on physical instruments like drafts and cheques, by offering a digital alternative. At the launch, a significant interim dividend of Rs. 989 crore was remitted by a major public sector enterprise. The initiative supports the Digital India campaign, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce delays in government transactions by allowing payments via credit card, debit card, or net banking through SBI e-Pay.
