Equity market volatility intensified as higher crude prices, geopolitical tensions and tighter monetary expectations weakened domestic investor sentiment.
Indian equity markets closed marginally lower as higher crude oil prices, US-Iran tensions, and expectations of prolonged tight United States monetary policy weakened risk appetite. The phased Closing Auction Session contributed to a late recovery in the benchmark index.
