Indirect Tax Revenue (Provisional) Collections increase from ₹ 1,85,881 Crore in April-August 2013 to 1,94,492 Crore during April-August 2014;
Registering an increase of 4.6% during April-August 2014 over the Corresponding Period in the previous year;
Service Tax Collections increase by 15.1% during the same Period
Indirect Tax Revenue (Provisional) collections have increased from ₹ 1,85,881crore in April-August 2013 to ₹ 1,94,492crore during April-August 2014. Thus an increase of 4.6 % has been registered during April-August 2014 over the corresponding period in the previous year. Overall, it is an achievement of 31.2 % of the Budget Estimates for 2014-15. Service Tax collections have also increased from ₹ 53,751 crore in April-August 2013 to ₹ 61,870 crore during April-August 2014 registering an increase of 15.1%. Similarly, there was an increase in collections of Central Excise from ₹ 61,131 crore in April-August 2013 to ₹ 61,415 crore during April-August 2014, an increase of 0.5 % and customs from ₹ 70,999 crore in April-August 2013 to ₹ 71,207 crore during April-August 2014, an increase of 0.3% over the corresponding period in the previous year.
