<h1>Exchange rate determination sets official conversion rates for imports and exports, replacing the earlier notification for customs purposes.</h1> Central Board of Excise and Customs determines rates of exchange for specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees and vice versa for customs purposes, superseding the prior notification and applying from the stated effective date. Two schedules prescribe conversion figures: Schedule I lists per unit rates and Schedule II lists per hundred unit rates, each with separate columns for imported goods and for export goods to be used for assessment and clearance under the Customs Act.
