The case, initiated by the Director General-Supplies Disposal, alleged bid rigging and market allocation among the suppliers. CCI found the companies guilty of collusive bidding, price fixing, and market sharing, imposing penalties based on 5% of their average turnover from 2008-2011. The companies are required to pay the penalties within 60 days and cease anti-competitive practices.
