Technician is defined for section 80RRA as a person with specialised knowledge and experience in specified fields-such as construction, manufacturing, mining, power, agriculture and allied activities, public administration, management, accountancy, and natural or applied sciences-who is employed in a capacity in which that specialised knowledge and experience are actually utilised; the Board may prescribe additional fields.
