Export to Nepal

Yatin Bhopi

For export to foreign countries we received the UT-1 last year from excise department. Where in they have mentioned that we can export to foreign countries except Nepal and Bhutan without payment of duty. Since Nepal export procedure is now same as normal  export to other countries my query is : Now To export to Nepal  do we need to execute fresh UT-1? Or can we export to Nepal under same UT-1?

New UT-1 Form Required for Exporting Goods to Nepal Due to Updated Procedures and Exclusion in Existing Form A user inquired about the necessity of executing a new UT-1 form for exporting goods to Nepal, given that the existing UT-1 excludes Nepal and Bhutan. Two respondents clarified that since the UT-1 is valid for one calendar year and the export procedures to Nepal have changed, a new UT-1 must be executed. The responses emphasized the importance of obtaining a fresh Letter of Undertaking (LUT) for compliance with the updated export procedures to Nepal. (AI Summary)
