Wrong service tax deposit: excess or misdirected payments may be adjusted against future tax liability.
The amount wrongly deposited or representing an excess payment should be applied against the taxpayer's subsequent service tax liability, with the difference carried forward and set off against future service tax dues to correct the misapplication. (AI Summary)

Sir,

In case of wrong deposition of service tax or excess deposition of service tax, the difference shall be adjusted in the further liability of depositing tax.

In the above case also same shall be applied.
