Government Sets Basic Salary and DA; Check Central and State Sources for Current Rates; DA Adjusted Biannually An individual inquired about the current breakdown of basic salary and Dearness Allowance (DA) percentages as per government notifications. One response suggested consulting central and state government sources for details. Another response explained that basic pay is periodically set by the State Government's Pay Commission, with DA announced biannually, aligning closely with central government rates. You may refer the relevant sources of central government and state government for this purpose.

Dear Sir,

The basic pay has been fixed for various cadres now and then by the Pay Commission appointed by the State Government and other allowances are fixed. The Dearness allowance is announced by the State Government once in six months which is more or less similar to the rate of Central Government. If you tell the scale of pay of the cadre then the break up details can be furnished.
