appeal issue

giri gattupalli

respected sir,

one of my client's (a works contractor -govt works) GSTN was cancelled right back in 2018.now an order has been passed on him demanding to pay around 10,00,000 Rs of tax.(basing on third party information). we decided to file appeal . the problem is our login in gstn is closed and denying access. after so many trails and correspondence with GSTN we could get the login opend..so we could not file the appeal application through online and could not pay the deposit amount. i met higher authorities also .no solution. and now the the tax officer issued bank attachment .. what are the legal remedies available to my client. i request all seniors to guide me.

thanking you

gst practitioner

GST Registration Canceled, Contractor Faces 10 Lakh Tax Demand; Issues with Appeal Filing and Bank Attachment Persist A GST practitioner is seeking advice on behalf of a client, a government works contractor, whose GST registration was canceled in 2018. An order demanding approximately 10,00,000 INR in taxes was issued based on third-party information. The practitioner faced issues accessing the GST network to file an appeal and pay the deposit. Despite multiple attempts and meetings with authorities, the problem persists, and the tax officer has issued a bank attachment. Suggestions from forum participants include thoroughly reviewing the notice, filing a writ petition in the state high court, and attempting to submit a manual appeal with the department. (AI Summary)
