How to apply for EODC

Narayan M

We have taken EPCG licence in the F.Y 2015-16 but we could't able to fulfill export obligation with in six years ( its zero export) and recently we have received a notice from customs saying that to produce EODC.

Kindly advice how to get EODC from DGFT, since we have paid duty saved amount with applicable interest to customes.

Guidance on Obtaining Export Obligation Discharge Certificate for 2015-16 EPCG License Non-Compliance Under Trade Notice No. 17/2018. A user inquired about obtaining an Export Obligation Discharge Certificate (EODC) after failing to meet export obligations under an EPCG license from the fiscal year 2015-16, resulting in a customs notice. They sought advice on acquiring the EODC from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) after paying the duty saved amount with interest. Responses suggested reviewing previous forum replies and Trade Notice No. 17/2018 for guidance. Another response advised approaching the Regional Authority (RA) with documentary evidence, such as the duty paid challan and a self-certified calculation sheet, to request a redemption letter. Peruse Trade Notice No. 17/2018 dated 07.06.2018 issued by the Office of DGFT under F.No. 01/94/180/102/AM19/PC-4 and also read detailed reply against Issue ID 107151 dated 9.8.14.

Since you paid the customs duty and applicable interest by TR6 challan, you can approach RA for issuance of a redemption letter based on documentary evidence (duty paid challan and self-certified calculation sheet)
