Last date of payment of gst

Ashish Agarwal

The CBIC has been extending the last dates of various gst returns these days because of ibvious reasons.

My query is that what happens to the last date of payment of GST ? Does it remain the 20th of subsequent month every time ? OR

Will it also change and be the same as the last date of filing of GSTR-3B ?

Basically my query of for the gst payable for the month of may falling due on the 20th of June.

GST Payment Date Tied to GSTR-3B Filing; Interest Relaxation Per Circular No.136/06/2020-GST for Low Turnover A user inquired about whether the last date for GST payment changes with the filing date of GSTR-3B or remains the 20th of the subsequent month. Respondents clarified that while there are extensions for GSTR filings from February to April, the payment date remains tied to the filing of GSTR-3B. One response highlighted a 15-day interest relaxation based on turnover, referring to Circular No.136/06/2020-GST. Another noted that GST payment is considered complete when GSTR-3B is filed, typically by the 20th of the following month, with the option to file via EVC. (AI Summary)
