NEW E INVOICING

ramdev handa

Sir,

Kindly clear the new option of e invoicing .

give me Performa of invoicing or any detail to integration with portal

E invoicing validation requires IRP-issued Invoice Reference Number and QR Code on tax invoices, subject to implementation timing. The instrument explains that e invoicing is a validation process where invoice data is submitted to the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP), which validates details and issues an Invoice Reference Number (IRN) and a QR Code that may be printed on the tax invoice. Notifications 68/2019 CT to 72/2019 CT (dated 13.12.19) were issued, but the start of compulsory implementation has been indicated as potentially deferred, signalling the need for technical integration and readiness. Although GST Council has approved the commencement of 'e-invoicing', yet no standard e-invoice pro forma has been finalized. There is a news that implementation may be deferred. However, go through Notification Nos. 68/2019-CT to 72/2019-CT all dated 13.12.19.

E-invoicing does not mean to generate new invoice. It is only a validation of invoice details from Govt Portal called IRP i.e. Invoice Registration Portal. IRP will validate the data and generate IRN i.e. Invoice Reference Number and QR Code i.e. Quick Response Code. IRN and QRCode code can be anywhere printed on the face of the tax invoice.

As stated by Sri Kasturi Sir the e-invoice may be deferred. This was to come into effect w.e.f. 01.04.2020. However, to ease taxpayer to become ready the Date may be extended. This will be discussed in the GST Council meeting proposed to be held on 14.03.2020 (this Saturday).
