Cash Limit

S.T.Biradar Biradar

We cannot make any cash transaction exceeding β‚Ή 10,000/- per day w.e.f.1.4.18.

if we have received a report which contains the details of petty cash expenses incurred in a month at our site that is crossing 10,000 limit & we have given the cash for the same exceeding 10,000/- on a particular day is it violation of the said limit?

& how its different from 2lac cash limit per transaction/per day?

please explain

Cash transaction limit: compliance depends on individual transactions per day, not aggregated monthly petty cash expenditures. The query asks whether monthly petty cash disbursements exceeding the lower cash ceiling constitute a violation when cash given on a particular day exceeded that ceiling, and how that lower ceiling differs from a separate higher cash limit. The reply indicates that the lower ceiling is assessed by reference to individual transactions, not by aggregate monthly totals. (AI Summary)

Even though it exceeds ₹ 10,000/- individual transaction is to be considered.
