GST 20 Lakh Threshold: Service Exporters Should Include Export Value for Compliance and ITC Benefits A discussion on a forum addresses whether the 20 lakh threshold limit under GST applies to service exporters, considering interstate supply rules. The consensus among participants is that export value should be included when calculating the threshold. Despite a notification (10/2017) exempting interstate service supply from registration, experts advise registering under GST to ensure compliance and benefit from Input Tax Credit (ITC) on exports. It is noted that having a GST number is crucial for availing ITC, and the GSTIN is expected to eventually replace the Importer Exporter Code (IEC). (AI Summary)
