how find rate for classification Scheme for Services under GST ?

RameshBabu Kari

Dear Experts,

There is the Classification Scheme for Services under GST was given and to such services, there is no rate was prescribed in that list. For them, how can we find the rate ?

Can we assume as all other services not specified elsewhere in the taxable services and rate shall be as 18%. ?

GST service classification typically attracts the standard rate; consult official rate lists and exemption schedules for guidance. Practitioners should consult published service-wise and slab-wise GST rate compilations and lists of fully exempted services to determine applicable rates; respondents indicated that where a service in the Classification Scheme lacks a specified rate, it is commonly treated as subject to the standard rate, subject to verification against authoritative rate notifications and exemption lists. Service wise and slab wise (rate wise) details are available on various sites on internet. It is easy to trace out. They have given such as which services are under 5%, 12 % , 18 % and so on. List of fully exempted Services has also been given.
