tool amortization cost to be included in calculating gst

Ramakrishnan Seshadri

Dear Experts,

We kindly request to confirm whether tool amortization cost has to be included in calculating gst.

One of our supplier saying that it should not be included. But our customer asks us to calculate gst with tool amortization cost.

Please confirm the same.

Thanks

S.Ramakrishnan

Tool amortization inclusion in taxable value: incidental expenses increase GST liability on supply for goods. Tool amortization is treated as an incidental expense that forms part of the consideration for supply; it should be added to the product's value for GST purposes, and GST is payable on the aggregated value inclusive of incidental charges.
