if i dont submit the no they will not do business with me because if they do business with the tax liability is to paid by them as per rule of RCM for avoiding the Tax liability they forse me to do registraion

Pls guide me

Voluntary GST registration allows businesses below threshold to register and become subject to full GST compliance and input credit rules. Voluntary registration under GST allows persons below the turnover threshold to register; once registered they are bound by all obligations applicable to registered persons. Voluntary registrants may claim input tax credit for inputs in stock and inputs in finished or semi finished goods where supplier invoices are available and not older than one year; credit for capital goods is stated as not allowable. Section 25(3) authorizes voluntary registration and the discussion notes buyer pressure linked to reverse charge considerations. (AI Summary)

Yes. You can apply for registration under GST Act . It is your option.

SHARMA NARAYAN on Jun 12, 2017

thanks for reply sir,

Under which clause i can take registration pls suggest

Ganeshan Kalyani on Jun 12, 2017

Sec 25(3) of SGST Act, " A person, though not liable to be registered under section 22 or section 24 may get himself registered voluntarily, and all provisions of this Act, as are applicable to a registered person, shall apply to such person."

As per above provision a dealer even though his turnover is below the threshold can apply for registration.

However, it is discussed that there should be a threshold limit to pay GST under reverse charge for purchase from unregistered by a registered dealer.

Voluntary regn is under sec 25(3) of cgst act, after taking regn, you can take credit on inputs in stock, inputs contained in finished goods and semi finished goods. You should have the invoices which should not be more than one year old.capital goods credit is not allowable
