Inquiry on Cenvat Credit Eligibility for Service Tax on Rented Property and RCM for Manpower Services Explained A service provider inquired about the eligibility to take and adjust Cenvat credit for service tax paid on 'Renting of Immovable Property' and under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) for manpower services and setting fees. Two respondents confirmed that Cenvat credit could be taken. One explained that service tax under RCM must be paid in cash, and credit can be availed based on the challan or e-receipt, which serves as a valid document for claiming the credit. (AI Summary)
