Excise Duty Calculation

Hitesh Makwana

Respected Sir,

I have confuse for how to Calculate Excise duty in First stage Dealer?

Excise duty calculation requires first-stage dealers to pass on RG23D credit and compute duty pro rata by value and quantity. A first-stage dealer must pass on the quantum of input credit recorded in RG 23D; duty is calculated on value, quantity and the invoice rate, with value and credit apportioned pro rata where quantities supplied are partial. As a first stage dealer, you are to pass on quantum of credit what you have entered in RG 23 D. You are to calculate on the basis of value, qty. and rate of duty. How much qty. is to be supplied and its value on pro rata basis and rate of duty remains the same as mentioned in invoice.
